No matter how big Chance the Rapper gets, he's never going to forget where he comes from. In continuing to give back to his hometown of Chicago, the rapper established a multi-million dollar fund to help provide quality education for kids in the city!

Chance's  SocialWorks organization raised $2.2 million for arts programs in Chi-town’s public schools. With the New Chance Fund, twenty schools will receive $100K spread out over three years. “Quality education for public schools is the most important investment a community can make,” Chance stated. Always putting his money where his mouth is!

But then the rapper took it one step further. He also announced he’ll be creating the first ever Twilight Awards to be held in the Chi in June 2018! The awards show, which will be hosted by James Corden and feature star-studded performances, will honor teachers, parents, principals and students that have stood out in their leadership throughout this school year. Definitely a great opportunity to show that Chicago is much more than the violence the media often depicts.

Folks online definitely gave Chance respect for consistently giving back to his city in major ways:

Seriously, this dude is incredible. All that he’s been able to accomplish at such a young age without the backing of a major label is nothing short of amazing. Chance is only 24-years-old, and he’s already making such a major impact on his own community. Can’t wait to see what he’ll do in the years to come!
